1st Leg of Race to Nigeria Masters 2022: J. Ibrahim overtakes U. Anoruo on Day 2 of the tournament

​

In the beautiful city of Owerri, 1st Leg of Race to Nigeria Masters 2022 Season, 3 players Distinguished themselves from the rest of the field. It’s an amazing way to start the year with golf in other to sharpen the mind of the players for more competitive tournaments in the coming months.

 

Prior to yestersday's performance U. Anoruo Having shot 1- under par 71 after the first round, staggers down the leaderboard into second place after playing 7 over par 79.  Indeed a rough day for U. Anoruo.

"Though today wasn't that great for me I tried to remain calm and told myself whatever the outcome, I would give it my best" Anoruo told theafricantour correspondent in a chat.

​

Moving up to number one on the leader board with 8 strokes lead ahead of his closest contender is J. Ibrahim who played Even par 72 in his first round and a 2 Under par 70 to move up to number one as he rounded with a cumulative score of -2 after 36 holes (142), he Eyes the prize money and aims to win the tournament as he extends lead in Owerri.

“I’m very excited with my performance today though it was challenging but quite an experience I must admit and hopefully I should do better subsequently”, said J. Ibrahim who finished the game top of the leaderboard.

​

In third place is J. Moses, who  played 1-over (73) after the first round, but went far behind after he shot 7-over (79) in the second round to make a cumulative score of +7 after 36 holes (151).

​
