Vincent Torgah is set to rewrite history at the 2019 Nigeria Masters Tournament.

 

 

 

Vincent Torgah is the reigning 2017 and 2018 Nigeria Masters, and after becoming a back-to-back champion of the Nigeria Masters at Port-Harcourt Golf Club, he seeks a third-straight Masters title at IBB International Golf and Country Club in the Maitama axis of Abuja, .

 

Coming off a sixth place finish at the B&E Championship last month, in what was his worst stat of the season. Torgah is in a great position to successfully defend his title and win back-to-back-to-back Nigeria Masters trophies. The Ghanaian professional  is not only trying to secure a sixth win of the season, but he's also fighting an uphill battle against history to extend his run of consecutive Order Of Merit winner title since 2017-till-date.

 

Before Vincent, the first player to win Nigeria Masters title on the African Tour is Andrew Odoh, and that he did in 2016.

 

Torgah who  posted a round of  70 in the first round carded five birdies, eleven par's a bogey and a double bogey to close the shop at two_under_par, to lead the field by two strokes.

 

Trailing Torgah on the second spot after the first round is the duo of Chukwudi Okoro and Francis @_Level_ par. On the third spot is Emos Korblah and Paul Patrick @_One_over par.

 

The only player to win two consecutive Masters title is the Ghanaian, Vincent Torgah, and is about to rewrite history at this years Nigeria  Masters as he already secures himself the driving seat after 18holes.
