Christopher Ambe raced out to the top of the leaderboard after a brilliant first round in Arsenal Golf Course, Owerri on Thursday, and he never looked back from there.



Ambe shot a four-under 68 Thursday to finish to finish 5 under for the tournament, topping J. Moses by Twenty-four strokes. He opened with a seven – under 66 on Thursday and stayed the course from there.

Five players (J.Moses, J. Ibrahim, M. Pam, U. Anoruo and B. Gbadagesi) rounded behind with poor scores.

For Ambe, this is the second win on African tour, it was an emotional day.

‘’I am very delighted to be playing in this tournament and grateful for the opportunity and look forward to coming back for more tournament’’Ambe said during his interview.

He shows his excitement and looking forward to the Ivory coast tournament in April.


With the win, Ambe earned himself a cool $ 500 payout and he also earned an extra $200 for beating the 5-under record.

He also still remains No 1 in the Professional OOM 2021. Not bad for four days’ worth of work.

It wasn’t an easy road. He played 80 in his second round and bounced back up the next day.


Indeed, he is a great Professional.

ROAD TO NIGERIAN MASTERS LEG 3 DAY 3: Christopher Ambe back at it again!


The Road is getting tougher, with eight players racing to win Christopher Ambe the leading champion is back on his feet again.

 The third day in the beautiful course of Obinze Owerri, Ambe who bounced back from his second round finished with 69 making him lead with Fourteen shots ahead.

Ambe started the day with two birdies and 2 bogeys finishing with E in the front night. He later played very well in the back nine with three birdies finishing with three under for the day.

In second place is M. Pam who finished with 80, still has a lot of work to do to catch the leader.

The rest of the chasing pack have a long way to go as they enter the last round of the Leg 3 in Arsenal Golf Club Obinze Owerri, Imo state.

The Second day of the Road to Nigerian Masters in the beautiful Arsenal golf course Obinze Owerri had been a very challenging day for the Eight players.

With Christopher Ambe still leading with 3 shots, his score of 80 in the second day was not encouraging. If he doesn’t sit up, he might lose to other players catching up with him.

In second place is M. Pam with 74 on the second round, he had the best score on this round, While J. Ibrahim behind him and J. Moses finished 74 on his second round.

The Game is getting tougher and hard to predict, the players need to bring their A game in Day 3.

The Third leg of Road to Nigerian Masters is finally here, On Monday the 22nd 8 golf players came to Arsenal Golf Course Obinze Owerri to compete.

Christopher Ambe, the No 1 on the Professional Order of Merit 2021, finished the day top of the leaderboard. The Champion was nearly perfect, putting together with only one bogey round of 66 to finish the day at 6 under par.

Ambe, who already won the last leg this season, maneuvered his way through much tougher conditions in the afternoon, reeling off with five birdies and one eagle as pat of his 66.

Other Golfers like J. Moses who finished with 74 in the first round, M.Pam finished 75 while U. Anoruo finished 77.

 Christopher Ambe Earn 6- Shot Win over Uchenna Unoruo


Christopher Ambe won the 2021 Road to Nigerian Masters leg 2 on Thursday, there is no doubt Christopher is primed to have more wins in African Tour this year.



For the first time in three seasons on the African Golf Tour, Christopher Ambe finally won the Road to Nigerian Masters 2021 leg 2 by defending Uchenna Anoruo to claim a six- stroke win.



Having led the tournament from the first round with 73, 69, 73, the Minna based professional golfer shot 72 on his final round to seal the victory. In second place is Anuoruo a promising newbie pro on the Tour sitting six-strokes away.

It’s a climax of a remarkable journey and path for the youngster, who this week suddenly and triumphantly realized the fruits of years’ worth of labor after sneaking into the field at the 11th hour, to winning an event as well as reaching the Number 1 spot on the Pro African Tour 2021 Order of Merit.

In his Interview after the game, Christopher Ambe talks about how he took a chance to enter the tournament, he believed in himself and in his game and was confident when he registered. He also mentioned he has been intensively working on his game, his plan in the nearest future is to play on the world Tour, European Tour and the US PGA Tour.


The next Leg of the Road to Nigerian Masters comes up next week, we await to see what the youngers have for us.



Christopher Ambe shoots 3rd- Round 73 thereby leading with 5 shots in the Road to Nigerian Masters


Christopher Ambe’s exciting week at the 2021 road to Nigerian Masters continued Wednesday as he continued leading with 1 under par 215 in the third round at Arsenal Golf Course, Owerri, Imo state.

Ambe entered the third round well off after shooting a 73 in the first round and 69 in the second round. Upon entering the course, Ambe was leading by six shots, with Uche Anoruo behind.


The Minna Pro started his round with a bogey on the 4th hole, before making a birdie on the 9th hole finishing the first nine with even par, 35. He opened his back nine run with a bogey and birdie on the 11th/12th hole and two more bogey on the 14th and 18th hole for a round score of 73.


Speaking after his rounds Ambe was happy with his performance and hoped to replicate the same in the final round.


Ambe now sits Six strokes ahead of Uchenna Anoruo who had a shot if 73 with the leader, making him his gross score to 5 under par, 221.

The stage is set for a pulsating finish to the second leg of the 2021 Race to Nigerian Masters, with up to two players with a realistic chance of claiming the title in Arsenal Golf Course.

The rest of the players behind struggling to keep Up and have little chance as the final round gets closer.

Round four action will tee off at 8:30 AM.
